Butch Jones and the Vols hit Haslam Field for an early afternoon practice on Tuesday.
Butch Jones saw the grind of training camp starting to wear on his players for the first time on Tuesday. He says this where his team will grow up and find out what they're made of as they push through the aches and pains of training camp.
Butch started practice with 'sudden change'. After working on two-point conversions after stretching, Butch immediately jumped to period eight of practice- redzone drills.
The media was not allowed to shoot video as the offense took on the defense 11-on-11 in the redzone. Justin Worley led the first team offense to three consecutive scores in the drill. Jason Croom made a highlight reel play, pulling down a nicely thrown ball from Nathan Peterman as he fell out of the back of the endzone.
Tennessee was scheduled to have two practices on Wednesday but now the Vols will have just a single closed practice at Neyland Stadium on Saturday evening. Butch Jones will meet with the media following that closed practice.
