Coach Butch Jones issued the invitation via twitter a couple of weeks ago. The gates will open at 6 pm, with practice starting at 7 pm. There is no admission fee and parking is free.

"We need to create a game-like atmosphere for our football team, and we are going to try and put them in some pressure situations, some live game repetitions and see how they perform in front of our great fan base," said Jones.

Last year, the Vols held an open practice in front of 39,000 fans in a driving rain storm at Neyland.
