Donnie Tyndall is quickly piling up players to fill his first recruiting class and he has added another commitment, guard Ian Chiles.
Chiles will transfer to Tennessee from IUPUI where he played the last three seasons. Chiles has graduated and will be eligible to play immediately for the Vols for one season.
The 6-foot-1 guard averaged 15.8 points per game for the Jaguars last season after playing only four games in his junior season due to injury. Chiles spent his freshman season at Wabash Valley Junior College before transferring to IUPUI.
Chiles' family has ties to Tennessee. His brother Adam played with Vols' assistant Chris Shumate at Murray State and his sister India was one of the best hitters in Tennessee softball history. She won the 2007 SEC Player of the Year award and was named an All-American after her senior season.
