The Lady Vols could wear Smokey gray uniforms at the SEC tournament, if they perform as well as Coach Holly Warlick expects.

At practice on Tuesday, coaches showed the team the alternate uniforms, which are the same color of gray as those worn by the football team last fall against Georgia and Vanderbilt. They are trimmed in orange.

But there's no guarantee the team will don those alternate uniforms.

Coach Warlick told the team they could only wear the new gear if they made it to the championship game on Sunday.

Even then, there's a chance the SEC wouldn't allow them to wear the gray uniforms. The Associated Press reported that the SEC typically requires the higher-seeded team to wear the lighter-shaded uniform, so if the Lady Vols are the top seed in the finals, they may have to wear white.

The SEC tournament starts Wednesday in Duluth, Georgia. The #6 ranked Lady Vols are the #2 seed in the tournament, behind South Carolina, who they defeated on Sunday.
