The Knoxville Ice Bears held a fundraiser for youth hockey player Andy Whitcomb who is battling stomach cancer.

The Knoxville Ice Bears were back skating on Saturday at Cool Sports in Farragut, but there was more than a game on their minds.

Fifteen-year- old Andy Whitcomb plays hockey at Cool Sports and was diagnosed with stomach cancer in February. Saturday from 3-5 p.m. the team invited the community to come out and skate for Andy. The cost was $10, with $6 of every entry fee going to the Whitcomb family. The family is asking for prayers for their son.
