The Titans agreed to a three-year deal with dynamic wide receiver/return man Dexter McCluster as NFL free agency opened today.
McCluster's deal is for three years and is worth $12 million, according to sources familiar with the situation. It includes $4.5 million in guaranteed money.
The Titans also reached a deal to bring back running back/return man Leon Washington, who joined them for the final five games of last season.
McCluster has 1,500 receiving yards and 662 rushing yards in his four-year NFL career, all with the Chiefs. He's best known for his abilities as a returner, where he's earned Pro Bowl honors.
Washington, an eight-year veteran who had played for the Jets, Seahawks and Patriots, joined the Titans on Nov. 27 last season. He had 16 kickoff returns for a 30.1-yard average. He also returned six punts.
The Titans have also lined up a visit with Texans defensive lineman Antonio Smith, but he's also scheduled to visit the Redskins, Rams and Raiders.
