Both teams going into their third game are looking to keep an undefeated record, but one team is going to have to suffer a scuff on their slate after Hardin Valley faces off at South-Doyle tomorrow night.
Hardin Valley has had two huge wins over Karns and William Blount, each win by a 20+ deficit. However, the large deficit is about the only factor making these wins considered "huge." These two teams are teams that Hardin Valley should beat with ease. This week they will be put to the test on the road at South-Doyle.
South-Doyle as well has two wins under their belt, but they have not had as large of wins that Hardin Valley has experienced. South-Doyle has an edge to them in this game though because of their standout players that have shined consistently on both sides of the ball through the entire game.
If the stats for each school were to be compared side-by-side, then Hardin Valley should have this game in the bag. However, Hardin Valley's star players are going to have more difficult of a time to put up the big numbers again this week against South-Doyle's defense.
The Cherokee's defense won them their last game in the last two minutes and really made a statement the second half. This will be a true and difficult test to the Hawk's Jordan Jackson and Nathan White.
If South-Doyle plays the way they have been the past two weeks, they will have another W polishing their record.
