Garrett Johnson from Anderson County would clinch 65% of the votes this week to claim the Week 3 Defensive Player of the Week title. During the 26-21 win over Campbell County Johnson had two receptions for 77 yards and a touchdown. The defensive star also had nine tackles and an interception which he turned into a 55 yard run for a touchdown. Johnson is catching the spotlight young; he is only a sophomore. Head Coach Davey Gillum is excited to see Johnson progress over the season as well as use him in many different positions.

"I mean he does a little bit of everything for us. He's one of our best receivers, we can put him in the back field, and like I said he threw for a touchdown and caught a touchdown. He's ran for touchdowns out of the back field. He's dynamic and we like to use him that way," said Gillum.
