The USA Today High School Game of the Week will be at Anderson County who is hosting Catholic. Catholic has the polished record, but Anderson County has the potential to cause some scratches. Anderson County is the only one of these teams that has secured a respectable win. Besides their win over Campbell County, neither team has one against a dominant school. This will be a true test of who can standout for the remainder of the season.
Hardin Valley will host the Bearden Bulldogs tomorrow night. Both teams are looking for a big win since they are coming off of tough losses from last week. Hardin Valley came close to a victory, losing by a slight two points and Bearden was killed by their biggest rival. Each of these two teams will be out for revenge.
There will be a bloody battle between the Rebels tomorrow night. With only two wins this season, William Blount will have a hard time putting up a "W" against West. West has only suffered one loss so far this season. While William Blount will strive to see a "W" to strengthen their record at the end of the game; all they will be able to see is little "W's" on West's helmets running past them into the red zone.
Alcoa, always blowing in strong winds for many years across a variety of different football fields, will do no different tomorrow night as they travel to Lancaster Christian. Lancaster Christian better strap down and get ready for tough tornado-like weather tomorrow night. Alcoa has won the past four straight games and are on a streak that looks like it should continue onto Week 8.
Maryville has remained undefeated and will travel to Lenoir City. Lenoir City had a clutch win last week over William Blount, but they will need more than a clutch victory to defeat #1 Maryville. The Panthers will need to score quick and get a fast lead on the Rebels if they stand a chance. The match-up I would love to see along with several others would be for this undefeated team to take on the Fulton Falcons. Now lets talk about a game!
The Mountaineers from Heritage will travel to Farragut. The Mountaineers are suffering from three straight losses. The Admirals are pumped still from clinching a close win over Hardin Valley.
Tellico Plains hosts Rockwood this week. The Bears are hoping to not repeat last year's loss of 35-8 to the Tigers. These are two smaller schools that we do not usually get the opportunity to highlight. Both teams have strong records and should turn out to be a good game.
The White County Warriors will visit the Sequoyah Chiefs for the first time. The Warriors are coming off of a big win from last week, while the Chiefs are still recovering from last week's loss to Polk County. This game is sure to be a battle as one can tell from their mascots, but the match-up is looking in favor of White County who only has one loss.
Some other notable games to catch tomorrow night would be the #1 Kentucky team, Belfry, who will be playing at CAK. CAK has struggled this season, and from the looks of this game they will be adding another loss to the list. Belfry will be a tough team to defeat and not give up their record like Scott County a couple weeks ago to the Warriors.
Some other games you can catch highlights of tomorrow night on The Blitz are Halls at Powell, Central at Clinton, and McMinn Central at Carter.
