It's just not promoted tweets that will start showing up in Twitter feeds soon. The social network is introducing a beta program for advertisers to start using promoted videos.
The native videos will appear on timelines on the Web and mobile, popping up as tweets alongside updates from accounts users follow.
The promoted videos are part of Twitter's Amplify program, a service that allows media companies to leverage big TV moments and share them through the social network.
Twitter is coming off an impressive second quarter, with revenue surging to $312 million, more than double last year. Meanwhile, the social network added 16 million users.
Advertising revenue also doubled, jumping to $277 million. Of that number, 81% is generated from mobile.
