If you've spent the holiday season dreaming of a white Christmas, just know you were close.
At least by a day, because some people in East Tennessee and Southeast Kentucky started their Tuesday morning with a "white Christmas Eve".
The WBIR 10News Facebook page was full of pictures that showed some lawns and decks covered in flakes. The storm went on for several hours across the region, including on the Cumberland Plateau.
The Sanders had been visiting the area from Orlando when they first saw flakes coming down.
"It was awesome," said Kathy Sanders.
She and her husband took plenty of pictures of the event. They said it was a rare sight in Florida to ever see snow, nonetheless, just a day before Christmas.
"Oh, it's super, I just love it," said Sanders. "It makes it seem more like Christmas."
