A kitten that captured a lot of attention in Memphis was rescued on Saturday.
"Pipe Kitty" was trapped for day in a long and twisting underground water pipe.
All along the street, neighbors said they could hear the kitten crying.
The city, plumbers and dozens of volunteers made several attempts before she was finally rescued early, Saturday.
For a few days, "Pipe Kitty" was a social media sensation.
The man who freed the kitten says he will keep the animal and call it "Piper."
