Many of you know the Bates family from right here in East Tennessee. They've been on WBIR several times.
They have 19 kids, just like their friends from Arkansas, the Duggars, and just like the Duggars, the Bates are now the stars of a new reality show called "United Bates of America."
Thursday, they were on Fox and Friends to talk about what viewers can expect from the happy and big household.
"Well, actually we shied away from it at first, but after we were on the Duggar show a couple of times with their family... They have 19 children also and they've been friends of ours for 10 or 15 years. After being on their show, we got so much response on our website and from other families that we though if somehow we could encourage other people to make some Godly choices with their life, to love God, to love their spouse, to love kids, and to pour their life into something that's more valuable than the temple of the world," said Gil Bates.
"You'll be seeing a lot of just family fun and harmony, trying to get along and doing a bunch of things together. Just having fun as a family," said Lawson Bates.
"United Bates of America" premieres Monday at 9 o'clock on TLC.
