Kate Hudson is known for her breezy, effortless style. And now she's bringing it to the masses.
Hudson has just re-signed for another season as the face of retail chain Ann Taylor, and this time around, she's adding guest designer to that role, reportsWomen's Wear Daily. The actress will collaborate with Lisa Axelson, the brand's creative director, on a capsule collection for summer. The looks will be inspired by Hudson's personal style.
"Working with Ann Taylor has been a great creative experience, and there is a really wonderful connection," Hudson tells WWD. "Ann Taylor is great at creating iconic wardrobe staples and updating them season after season. I love that Lisa Axelson is designing clothes for real women."
The capsule collection, which marks Hudson's first foray into designing, will be available in stores beginning in May. Hudson first appeared in the retailer's spring 2012 campaign.
