Even though I've been to the Oscars a couple times, I don't think I've ever held a statuette in my hand. Chances are, you're in the same boat - and the Academy wants to do something to change that.
This month the little golden men are hitting the road for the first-ever Oscar Roadtrip. In the weeks leading up to the ceremony, a real Oscar statuette will travel to 10 cities: New York, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., Baltimore, Chicago, St. Louis, Kansas City, Houston, Dallas and Phoenix. There, fans are welcome to hold and snap a photo with it.
Follow the progress of the Oscar Roadtrip at (what else?) @OscarRoadTrip. The fun kicks off Feb. 4, and the tour ends Feb. 24, when the Academy Awards airs on ABC (7 ET/4 PT).
