And the list of people eager to participate in George Jones' final Nashville show continues to grow. Thursday morning, Alan Jackson, Travis Tritt, Pam Tillis, Kathy Mattea, Tracy Lawrence, Patty Loveless, Joe Diffie, Mark Chesnutt and T. Graham Brown were added to the already star-laden lineup for the Nov. 22 show.
Music City is the final stop on Jones' farewell "The Grand Tour," and previously announced appearances for the Bridgestone Arena show include Garth Brooks, Kid Rock, Dierks Bentley, Kenny Rogers, Randy Travis and more than a dozen other artists.
"Alan and Denise Jackson have been friends of Nancy and I for years, so this show wouldn't be the same without him," Jones said in a statement. "I am also so grateful that my dear friend Garth Brooks is going to be on stage with me. I am not sure who will be crying more, me or him."
The show was previously announced as sold-out but a limited number of seats located behind and beside the stage have been released this week; those tickets will go on sale 10 a.m. Friday through Ticketmaster, 1-800-745-3000.
