Ellen DeGeneres and wife Portia de Rossi are continuing their Australian talk show tour. And some 5,000 fans showed up Tuesday at the star's Melbourne show.
"We have done a few outdoor shows - we did one with Beyoncé in Central Park," Ellen told the crowd. "We have had more people here than Central Park, more than Sydney - I love you all."
The Herald Sun reports that the crowd started out at 3,500 and an extra 1,500 were let in, Ellen was reported to be "blown away" by the numbers. "The outpouring of support for our show here has been unbelievable," Ellen said, adding, "My favorite thing about Melbourne is the people, they have been amazing."
At a VIP cocktail party hosted by Premier Denis Napthine, Ellen said she could imagine making Australia home, reports AdelaideNow.com.
"I shouldn't put it out there, but I can see us living here one day," she said. "Not for a while as I've got shows to do, but I can see it happening," she said. "This is the most incredible trip, I will never forget it."
On Twitter, she added, "I had the time of my life." She also shared a joke: "How did the Australian remember where he put his boomerang? It eventually came back to him."
