KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Chrissa Loukas was excited to join the WBIR 10News 'Straight from the Heart' team in July 2022 shortly after she graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Southern California.
During her time at USC, she received a Bachelor's in Journalism and a Master’s in Law focusing on business and media law.
In Los Angeles, she worked as a journalist at USC and was a reporter for Annenberg News Media, where she also worked as a producer. She also reported for The Corsair Newspaper and was a website editor for the news team. Her weekly article updates about the coronavirus in 2021 received record-breaking numbers for the newspaper, and she earned awards for ‘Best News Reporter’ and for ‘Excellence in Times of Adversity.’
Chrissa likes to dive into a wide range of journalism areas such as news, politics, features, arts, and lifestyle articles. Her favorite stories are about people overcoming obstacles and stories that help the community.
During her free time, she likes to go horse riding or attend ballet classes. The first thing she does in the morning is brew a hot cup of coffee and set her goals for the day!
