When the opportunity arose to return to the South and begin my career as a reporter at WBIR in Knoxville, it was a no brainer for me.
I was born and raised in Atlanta, but moved across the county for college in Southern California. While I’ll miss the warm winters and beautiful beaches, Knoxville feels a lot more like home.
I can’t wait to get to know East Tennessee better and begin sharing stories from the community here. I truly believe in WBIR’s pledge to tell stories “Straight from the Heart” and look forward to doing that.
I’ve known I wanted to be a journalist from a very young age—my parents have pictures of me anchoring a mock newscast at age four. I was co-editor of my high school newspaper and worked as a reporter for my college newscast all four years.
I had the opportunity to work several internships while in school. I joined WBIR’s sister station, WXIA, in Atlanta for two summers and then worked for the investigative team at KNBC in Los Angeles before spending a summer on the breaking news desk with NBC News’ Specials unit in New York.
I graduated from the University of Southern California (Go Trojans!) with a degree in Political Science and a minor in Business and joined the WBIR team in 2018.
If you have a story to tell or just want to chat, I’d love to hear from you!
