KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Grace King joined the 10News team in June 2019 as a multi-skilled journalist. Though she’s been a Florida girl most of her life, Grace is excited to explore the mountains and experience seasons in East Tennessee!
Grace got her start anchoring the “Bobcat Buzz” segment on her elementary school newscast in Orlando before moving to South Florida for middle and high school.
She graduated from the University of Florida’s College of Journalism and Communications with the dean’s cup for professional promise in May 2019.
That’s a fancy way of saying she’s a proud Gator who believes orange goes better with blue. (Sorry, Tennessee fans).
During her time at UF, Grace won multiple regional Edward R. Murrow awards for her reporting on felon voting rights in Florida, including one for “excellence in innovation.” She also traveled to Cuba, Puerto Rico, Louisiana, Canada and Washington D.C. for various special reports with the PBS/NPR affiliate in North Central Florida, WUFT News.
Grace interned for NBC’s “Meet the Press” in Washington, D.C. as well as the network’s Decision Desk and Special Reports team at 30 Rock in NYC. She helped with NBC News’ coverage of major events including the Manafort Trial, Midterm Elections and George H.W. Bush Funeral.
Off air, she enjoys dancing, baking and exploring new places! She’s always looking for fun recipes and craft ideas to try out.
Grace is thrilled to be telling stories straight from the heart and would love to talk if you have something to share!
