Meteorologist Kaylee Bowers joined the 10News team in August 2022.
She is a Central Ohio native. After living in Marion, Ohio, the popcorn capital of the world, Kaylee moved to Athens, Ohio, where she received her B.S. degree in broadcast journalism and meteorology at Ohio University. In May 2022, Kaylee completed a second bachelor’s degree in broadcast and operational meteorology at Mississippi State University.
During her time at Ohio University, she interned at WSYX ABC 6 and WBNS 10TV in Columbus, Ohio; WKMG News 6 in Orlando, Florida, iHeartRadio in Marion, Ohio; and “The Today Show” in New York City. Her first job was at WLIO in Lima, OH as the morning and midday meteorologist.
Prior to joining WBIR, Kaylee served as the midday and weekend meteorologist at WPSD in Paducah, Kentucky. There she was part of the team that covered the Quad-State tornado in December 2021. Due to their life-saving coverage, Kaylee was named a Kentucky Colonel, which is the highest honor from the Kentucky governor’s office.
When she’s not forecasting the weather, Kaylee likes to spend her time working out, reading and playing with her cat, Sunny, and dog, Barkley.
