I joined the WBIR news team in November 2014 and am thrilled to be working for the station I watched as a little girl.
I have called the Knoxville area home for most of my life and am happy to be back to my roots and in a place full of family and friends.
I spent my high school years playing violin in the Knoxville Youth Symphony Orchestras as well as being part of the Dance and Track teams at Karns High School where I graduated in 2009. Go Beavers!
After graduation I headed down south to Birmingham, Alabama.
At Samford University, I received my degree in Journalism and Mass Communications with a concentration in Broadcast and Public Relations. My interest in movies and filmmaking led me to grab a film minor as well.
While balancing school, I was also a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority and a collegiate athlete for four years. As part of the University's track and field team I have a huge love of exercise.
When it was finally time to bid college farewell I decided to stay in Birmingham a little longer. There in 2013 I got my first job at CBS affiliate WIAT.
At WIAT I fell into a number of positions. Starting off as a sports production assistant, I helped navigate the crazy weekends that consisted of Alabama and Auburn football. Soon after, I moved up to the role of assignment editor and then later Associate Producer.
In October 2014, it was time to come home. I tied the knot and made the move back to Big Orange country.
When I'm not reporting, I like to spend time with my wonderful husband, Bo. You can catch me working out at my Crossfit gym, reading a good novel or enjoying the beautiful outdoor adventures the Smoky Mountains have to offer.
