Tom Stoppard’s play "The Real Inspector Hound’" is playing at the Clarence Brown Theatre March 27 through April 14. The play follows two feuding theatre critics attending the premiere of a new murder mystery who find themselves inside a play-within-a-play.

The Dogwood Trails are open, and you can stroll or drive through 80 miles of residential neighborhoods with beautiful blooming flowers and dogwood trees. Farragut is the 2019 featured trail.

The Duck Duck Goose Children’s Consignment Sale is going on all weekend long at the Knoxville Expo Center. Admission is free.

Students at the Christian Academy of Knoxville are performing their spring play, "Hello, Dolly!" this weekend. The show runs Thursday through Saturday.

Baseball season is here! The Tennessee Smokies have home games Thursday through Monday against the Mississippi Braves.

It’s the first Friday of April, which means it’s time for First Friday ArtWalk. Head downtown and to the Old City for special art shows, food specials and live entertainment.

"One Slight Hitch" is playing at Theatre Knoxville Downtown April 5 through 21. The play is about a bride-to-be whose uninvited ex-lover shows up on her wedding day and chaos erupts.

The Knoxville Area Project Access presents the 2019 Boot Scootin’ Ball on Friday at the Knoxville Marriot. This year’s country-themed event features a live concert by Craig Morgan to raise money for KAPA.

The Knoxville Ice Bears have back-to-back home games against the Pensacola Ice Flyers on Friday and Saturday. The puck drops at 7:30 p.m. both nights.

The Black Jacket Symphony returns to the Tennessee Theatre to perform Journey’s "Escape" on Friday at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $30.

The Knoxville Museum of Arts’s Alive After Five series continues Friday at 6 p.m. The band, Soul Connection, is performing. Tickets start at $10.

Take a stroll around Norris Dam State Park with TVA staff for a guided spring wildflower hike along the Clinch River. Hikes will begin at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the River Bluff Trailhead and 2 p.m. at the Lower Creek Trailhead.

Today’s Woman Expo is going on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Junior Achievement Center in Clinton. Women can browse through a number of exhibits covering everything from food, health and leisure to fashion, fitness, beauty and entertainment.

The Oak Ridge Playhouse is performing "Alice in Wonderland" this weekend. Tickets are $12. Showtimes are Saturday at 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m.

Ijams Nature Center hosts its weekly Creature Feature on Saturday at 10 a.m. It’s always a surprise to see what animal ambassador shows up.

The Knox County Public Library is hosting its weekly Saturday Stories and Songs at 11 a.m. at the Fountain City Branch and the Cedar Bluff Branch libraries.

The Annual Smoky Mountain Trout Tournament is Friday and Saturday in Sevier County. There will be cash prizes for the biggest and smallest trout.

The Farragut Book Fest for Children is Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Farragut Town Hall. The free event features book signings by local authors, storytellers, music, magic and more. Children are encouraged to dress up as their favorite storybook character.

Monster Jam returns to Thompson-Boling Arena on Saturday. Watch some of your favorites like Grave Digger and El Toro Loco rev up their engines. The show starts at 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Tickets range from $20 to $50.

Chalk Walk is Saturday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. in Market Square. Local professional and student artists will transform the sidewalks downtown into works of art as part of Dogwood Arts.

Head over to Trailhead Beer Market in South Knoxville for a free community workout with South Landing Crossfit. Participants will meet at 10 a.m. and jog to the gym located down the road.

The University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine students are hosting their annual open house on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Families can learn about how veterinarians care for animals, and kids can bring their favorite stuffed animals to the teddy bear clinic and the vets will give them a check-up.

The Youth Metro Drug Coalition 5K is Saturday at 10 a.m. in Sequoyah Hills. The race begins and ends in Sequoyah Hills Park.

UT Gardens is hosting its Spring Spectacular Plant Sale on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Shop for herbs, perennials, native plants, trees and shrubs.

The Run 4 H2O 5K is Saturday at Victor Ashe Park. Proceeds benefit the Tennessee Society of Professional Engineers and KnoxProCorps.

Central Cinema is showing the internet’s cutest cat videos during what they call "Cat Video Fest" on Saturday. The event raises money for Young-Williams Animal Center, and there might even be a few adorable, adoptable kittens at the theater.  

The annual Ridge Run 5K is Saturday morning. Runners will race through winding trails of Sharp’s Ridge to raise money for veteran organizations and upkeep of the park. This year’s event includes a 10K rucksack relay.

The Knoxville Symphony Orchestra is performing the soundtrack to Disney’s "Mary Poppins" on Saturday while the movie plays on the big screen. Tickets start at $36. The movie starts at 8 p.m.

The Panther Creek State Park Primitive Craft Show is Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. Local artisans will be set up with their handmade work, which will be available for purchase. The event will be held at the swimming pool parking lot at the park.

Park Day 2019 is a spring clean up event held at various historical sites around the country. Help clean up the grounds at the Mabry Hazen House on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Volunteers will receive a t-shirt.

The Island Home Baptist Church Community Easter Egg Hunt is Saturday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

The Farragut Branch Library is hosting a used book sale on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Bearden Branch Library is hosting a workshop called ‘Master Gardeners: Work Smarter, Not Harder.’ The event is on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.

Cars & Coffee is Saturday starting at 8 a.m. outside Regal Pinnacle. The car show raises money for Variety, a nonprofit that provides specially-designed wheelchairs, strollers, walkers and more for children with physical challenges. Immediately following the event, car lovers can participate in a poker run that takes drivers through more than 100 miles of East Tennessee roads to collect the best poker hand.

Sit back and listen to live bluegrass music at the Lenoir Museum at Norris Dam State Park every Sunday afternoon from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. The Bluegrass Jam runs April 7 through October 27.

Wonderworks in Pigeon Forge is partnering with the Autism Society of East Tennessee to host a Sensory Day on Sunday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. The music in the facility will be lowered and the lights will be turned on to create a safe environment for kids to enjoy the facility without feeling overwhelmed. Admission is $10.

Easter is around the corner, and CAC Beardsley Community Farm is hosting a community egg hunt on Sunday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

The Six-Pack Beer Run Series continues Sunday at Clinch River Brewing. Participants will run two to four miles and can get discounted beer after the run. This is the 2nd of six brewery runs scheduled for March, April and May. Each social run costs $20.

Warmer spring weather means it’s time for the Mayapple Marketplace at Ijams Nature Center. The annual spring celebration is Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will feature plant nurseries, gardening vendors, food trucks, crafters and more.

The Oak Ridge Wind Ensemble and Community Band is performing its "Youth & Vibrance" concert on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. at the Oak Ridge High School Performing Arts Center. Adult tickets are $5. Children 18 and under are free.

The Janoska Ensemble is performing Sunday at 7:30 p.m. at Community Church at Tellico College as part of their Fine Arts Concert Series. The series showcases talent from all over the world. Tickets costs $10.
