Ober Gatlinburg's 10th annual OktOBERfest features new Biergarten stage

The event is going on until Nov. 3 with special performances, food, beverages and kid-friendly activities.

GATLINBURG, Tenn. — If you're looking for a way to experience Germany's OktOBERfest, without leaving the country, you're in luck! We've got the place for you. 

Ober Gatlinburg's 10th annual OktOBERfest is in full swing with Bavarian-style food, beer, costumes and music. The event is going on until Nov. 3. 

The Smoky Mountain Oompah Band performs folk dances in authentic costume every day at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. and additional performances Friday through Sunday at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.

The new Biergarten also features live entertainment with a larger stage, a selection of beers and tastings from local breweries. 

Gatlinburg's Seasons of Ober Restaurant features OktOBERfest signature dishes including a variety of schnitzel, sausage and sauerkraut entrees, stuffed cabbage roll and Bavarian pretzels. 

There will also be a new Ober Glühwein Cart  with homemade mulled wine served in a souvenir boot. 

For younger guests, there are outdoor games, inflatable bounce houses, cornhole, face painting and arts and crafts.
