MARYVILLE, Tenn — Based on the bestselling book of the same name, "The Lightning Thief" is making a stop in Maryville after a successful run on Broadway in New York City. 

The musical follows Percy Jackson, the son of the Greek god, Poseidon. Jackson has newly discovered powers he can't control and monsters hot on his trail. 

Tickets are still available to see the traveling production June 11 and 12 at the Ronald and Lynda Nutt Theatre at the Clayton Center for the Arts in Maryville. 

Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. both nights.

Ashlee Latimer, who grew up in Knoxville before moving to the Big Apple to pursue her theatre dream after graduating from the University of Tennessee, is one of the brand strategists for the production.
