Fanboy Expo returns to Knoxville

The pop culture event attracts thousands.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Every year, Fanboy Expo attracts thousands of comic fans and cosplayers to the Knoxville Convention Center. It runs July 12-14 at the Knoxville Convention Center.

Paul Reubens, best known for playing Pee-Wee Herman, is one of the celebrities signing autographs.

Reubens replaced Molly Ringwald, who had to drop out of the convention because of a scheduling conflict.

Other big names appearing this year include the OG Macgyver, Richard Dean Anderson; Cary Elwes (as you wish, Westley in the Princess Bride); Titanic bad guy Billy Zane; Star Trek's original Chekov, Walter Koenig & Q actor John De Lancie; Baywatch's Carmen Elektra; Denis Lawson, who played Star Wars' classic character Wedge; and John Noble, known for Lord of the Rings and Fringe.

You can see the schedule and buy tickets here.

General admission tickets range from $20 to $60.
