Nativity Pageant of Knoxville brings Christmas story to life for 51st year

It's a tradition for generations of families.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — In 1969, a group of Knoxville citizens came up with the idea to start a nativity pageant. It's been a tradition for many ever since.

For decades, the Nativity Pageant of Knoxville has been a tradition for generations of families, both in the audience and in the spotlight.

Hundreds of volunteers transform the Knoxville Civic Coliseum into the town of Bethlehem for three free performances of the Christmas story.
