KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Sunny days are coming to this year's Dogwood Arts House & Garden Show as Sesame Street characters join the event for a 50th birthday bash!

The annual show is set for Feb. 14-15 at the Knoxville Convention Center., and always features lots of vendors and events related to interior design, home improvement, gardening, and more. 

But this year they're adding something pretty special for the kids!

Sesame Street is celebrating 50 years of the most iconic children's' show on television and some of the show's iconic characters will be on hand to celebrate that milestone.

The birthday bash will be on Friday from 2-5 p.m. and will offer a dance party, birthday treats, character photo ops, and more. In addition, Big Bird, Elmo, Cookie Monster, and Abby Cadabby will be there for meet and greets all weekend long.

The House and Garden show hours are: 

  • Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. 
  • Saturday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Tickets are $10.00 for adults, $8.00 Seniors, and free for 65+, military and kids 12 and under. You can get more info here.
