10About Town: St. Patrick's Day weekend

Here are some events happening this holiday weekend.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. —

Friday

A St. Patrick's Day Silent Disco is happening at Hi-Wire Brewing on Friday. The event takes place from 7:30 p.m. to 11:30. The event is for 18+ and tickets are $10 in advance and $15 the day of. 

The fifth annual St. Paddy's Day at the Island in Pigeon Forge begins at 2 p.m. Friday. The whole island will be lit up green and fun activities will take place. Tuatha Dea will be performing on the Ole Smoky Stage from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. 

The Lucky's St. Patrick's Day Crawl is happening Friday and Saturday! Exclusive drink and food specials, waived cover at all venues and more is included with your ticket. The crawl begins at 5 p.m. on Friday. 

The Knox St. Patrick's Day Parade is taking place downtown Friday night. You can read more about it here.

Saturday

The Knoxville Museum of Art is hosting Family Fun Day on Saturday. The free event will be filled with art activities and family entertainment. Activities are inspired by innovations in artmaking and the works in the "Tennessee Triennial: RE-PAIR" and "Landfall Press: Five Decades of Printmaking" exhibitions. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. 

Sunday

The 2023 Knox Shamrock Fest is happening Sunday at World's Fair Park from 1 p.m. to 5. This family-friendly St. Patrick's Day festival has live Irish music, inflatables, face paint, balloon twisting, Irish cultural events and Irish treats. 

On Sunday, you can help create some of the art that'll be used in the Big Ears festival. From 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., you can help make a giant flag for Big Ears. Feel free to bring your own projects already in process. All ages are welcome. This event is taking place at 310 W. Jackson Avenue.
