Featured artists, lineup announced for 'Volapalooza'

Pop artist Andy Grammer will headline the 2019 'Volapalooza', which is free and open to the public.

The Volapalooza Music and Arts Festival announced the performance lineup as headliner Andy Grammer with support from Bishop Briggs and local artist Daisha McBride at noon on Friday. 

Featured acts include: 

Andy Grammer, a pop artist from Los Angeles, California. His hits include “Keep Your Head Up,” “Honey, I’m Good,” and “Fresh Eyes.”

Bishop Briggs, an indie/alternative artist. She was born in London, raised by Scottish parents and grew up in Japan and Hong Kong. She is best known for her RIAA-certified platinum single “River.”

Daisha McBride, a hip hop/R&B singer-songwriter from Knoxville, Tennessee. . She recently won 2 awards from the Nashville Scene and was named 2018 “Best Hip Hop Act” and “Hip Hop Newcomer of the Year.”

Volapalooza is on Friday, April 26th at 6 pm on the University of Tennessee’s campus at the Student Union Courtyard at 1502 Cumberland Avenue. 

The event is an annual music festival in Knoxville, Tennessee. It is organized by students on the Campus Events Board.

Admission to this event is free and open to students and the public. No pre-reserved tickets are required. UT students will need their VolCard to swipe into the event. This event has a no bag policy. Only items that are wallet/wristlet/or clutch sized or smaller will be allowed. Hourly visitor parking can be found at the Volunteer Hall Garage at 1545 White Avenue.
