Foothills Parkway East and West, along with Newfound Gap Road to close Sunday ahead of snow and ice

The Great Smoky Mountains National Park said they are planning to close Foothills Parkway East and West at 4 p.m. and Newfound Gap Road at 5 p.m.

The Great Smoky Mountains National Park said Foothills Parkway East at Cosby, Tennessee, Foothills Parkway West From Walland to Wears Valley and Newfound Gap Road between Gatlinburg, Tennessee and Cherokee, North Carolina will close Sunday due to anticipated winter weather.
