Pop icon Taylor Swift will join NBC's The Voice for season 17.

The Voice coaches John Legend and Blake Shelton made the announcement Monday.

Swift will mentor and help prepare each team for the knockout rounds, which air in late October.

She will provide feedback and suggestions. The coaches will choose the winner, and the artist not selected may be stolen by another coach.

She previously served as key advisor on season seven and performed her chart-topping single "ME!" for the season 16 finale.

The Voice premieres Monday, Sept. 23 at 8 p.m. on Channel 10.
