Pasta of your choice, cooked al dente

For the sauce:

1/2 cup butter, melted

1/2 cup half and half or heavy cream

1 garlic clove, grated

1 cup grated Parmesan

Pinches of nutmeg, white pepper and salt, optional

In a heavy saucepan, melt butter. Add garlic and half and half. Heat but do not boil. Add cheese and heat until cheese melts. Season as desired Pour over pasta; serve immediately.
