Salad greens

1 sweet/tart apple, large dice

2 ripe pears, large dice

4 ounces crumbled feta cheese or bleu cheese

1/4 cup Craisins, roughly chopped

1/2 cup chopped pecans or nuts of your choice

2 chicken breasts, grilled or roasted, shredded

For the dressing:

1/2 cup sugar

1 tablespoon poppy seeds*

1/3 cup red wine vinegar

1 tablespoon prepared mustard

Salt to taste

1/2 cup chopped onion

Add all ingredients to the blender and pulse until almost smooth

Add 3/4 cup canola oil or your choice of oil

Cook's note: I prefer to stir in the poppy seeds after I blend the mixture.
