A Knoxville woman celebrated her 106th birthday on Saturday.
Vera Dean-Bagwell celebrated her birthday surrounded by friends and family.
"They think I'm pretty good, pretty nice," she said. "They want to enjoy life, too."
Morning Pointe provided a buffet full of snacks and desserts for her party guests.
Knox County Mayor Tim Burchett even wrote her a proclamation on her behalf. It would declare Feb. 3 the "Vera Dean-Bagwell Day."
She has a bit of advice for who are are looking for the vitality she's found.
"Patience. Good living. Just being yourself... Be truthful. Enjoy life."
Vera's guests showered her in gifts and in love. She's looking forward to celebrating her 107th birthday in 2019.
