KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The Knoxville Ice Bears continue to hand out stuffed animals they collected during their annual Teddy Bear Toss event in December.

Team members have shown up to charities and organizations across East Tennessee to deliver the stuffed animals in hopes of helping children.

On Thursday, the Ice Bears made a visit to the Knoxville Police Department.

KPD said the stuffed toys will help patrol officers provide some calm and reassurance to children on calls.

"Thank you so much to the Knoxville @icebears for bringing teddy bears for our patrol officers to give to children on calls. A great hockey team and a great police department partnering to help kids, now that’s a win-win," KPD tweeted.
