Many people dream about spending their days inside a flower shop, breathing in beautiful smells and wandering aisles arranged in different colors. A new store in North Knoxville offers something like that.

Oglewood Avenue, a modern houseplant boutique, opened on Saturday. The store showcases houseplants people can use to decorate their homes, helping bring them to life. They also sell furniture and home accents that go with the plants, according to their website.

Refill Coffee Cart, a mobile catering business, served drinks during the store's first day of business. It was open 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. on Saturday, and the event will continue on Sunday, according to their website.

The business also works with other companies to help them improve the looks of their lobbies and commercial spaces, according to officials. They also offer consultations for people looking to improve the design of their home and their businesses.

Oglewood Avenue also offers plant rentals for events and photoshoots.

Parking is available at nearby businesses during the grand opening weekend, such as at Franks Body Shop, Lost & Found Records and First Sun Finance. Officials also said they were practicing social distancing.
