A bus carrying a number of Marines caught fire outside Chattanooga Monday.
About 40 people were on the bus, including some U.S. Marines. The bus overheated and caught fire near mile marker 136 on Interstate 24 West near Monteagle.
The Tennessean reported that the Marines were on their way to Nashville for Marine Week.
"There were no injures. The cause of the fire is unknown at this point," Staff Sgt. Bobby Yarbrough told The Tennessean.
Traffic was slowed on I-24 on the Labor Day holiday. The highway has been re-opened to traffic, but drivers should expect delays.
