POLK COUNTY, Tenn. — Crews are searching for a missing kayaker in Polk County.

According to TWRA, the 68-year-old man was fishing in the Tumbling Creek area of the Ocoee Number Three Lake on Sunday. He was reported missing about 10 a.m.

Searchers have found a kayak, life jacket and a creel bucket, containing fish, but still no sign of the man. His name has not been released.

The search was called off yesterday after it got dark for safety reasons, but resumed Monday morning.

Crews are using a side scanner to search the water, which is up to nearly 25 feet in parts.

The Ocoee Number Three Lake is located farther south than the area that is popular with white water rafters.
