UPDATE, THURSDAY, 7 P.M.: Alcoa Police say the deaths of a married couple found in their home Wednesday morning appear to be a murder-suicide.
“After further investigation and autopsies on both individuals, all evidence at this time supports that it was a murder-suicide,” Police Chief David Carswell said in a statement.
It appears 46-year-old Dawn R. Hodge shot 55-year-old Ladonald E. Hodge and then turned the gun on herself, police said.
The incident is still under investigation.
