A Knoxville man has been sentenced to 10 years after pleading guilty to two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.

Brian Corrie Patton, 65, was sentenced Thursday, according to the Knoxville Police Department.

On Jan. 24, 2017, investigators said they found child pornography or child erotica on his computer at a Knoxville area computer store.

According to the police department, Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force investigators located Patton and initiated an investigation. During an interview, KPD said he admitted to downloading and possessing child pornography.

Investigators said Patton then led them to his home where they found more than 2,000 file images depicting child sex abuse and child pornography.

After Patton is released, he will be required to register as a sex offender with the State of Tennessee Sex Offender Registry.
