Knoxville Police searching for suspect accused of two armed robberies

According to KPD, a black male suspect wearing khaki pants and white shirt fled the scene before officers arrived. Police said the suspect fired at least one gunshot inside the business during the robbery.

UPDATE 11:30 PM May 17 | Knoxville police officers are looking for a suspect wanted for two armed robberies.

The second robbery happened at the Fuel City on Beaumont Avenue.

The first happened at Long John Silver's on East Magnolia Avenue on Wednesday.

According to KPD, a black male suspect wearing khaki pants and a white shirt fled both scenes. Police said the suspect may be driving a green truck with camo on it.

If you have any information about either robbery, you should call 911.

Around 8:38 p.m., officers said they responded to the East Magnolia Avenue restaurant to investigate a report of an armed robbery in progress.

According to KPD, a black male suspect wearing khaki pants and white shirt fled the scene before officers arrived. Police said the suspect fired at least one gunshot inside the business during the robbery.

Investigators said no one was injured.
