UPDATE: A shooting victim who initially told police he was carjacked while offering to give a man a ride now says the alleged carjacker was his drug dealer, according to Knoxville Police.
Police said 29-year-old Joshua Gifford changed his story of how the shooting happened during a follow-up interview at the hospital.
Gifford, who police say has non life-threatening injuries, eventually told investigators he was at the park to meet his drug dealer, and his drug dealer robbed and shot him.
The shooting is under investigation.
