KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — UPDATE OCT. 6: A 34-year-old Knoxville man faces multiple charges after authorities say he stole a woman's bag at a University of Tennessee football game and used her debit card to shop at the stadium, at a vape shop and at a grocery, among other places.

Jack Edward Norton is due in Knox County General Sessions Court on Oct. 18, records show. He's charged with theft, fraudulent use of a credit card, and forgery.

On Sept. 18, at the UT-Tennessee Tech home game, a woman reported someone had taken the bag she placed under her seat in Row H on the concourse. Inside were her debit card and $60 in cash.

It didn't take long for Norton to start using the woman's debit card, the University of Tennessee Police Department alleges.

"While taking the theft report information, fraudulent charges started popping up on the victim's bank account at the Vol Shop, Vapor Trails, Green Grocery, Hibbett Sports and Aramark,"  UTPD report states.

The thief used the debit card to make several purchases in Neyland Stadium, including at the New Era Hat kiosk, records state. The charge at Hibbett was the highest -- for $196.65.

A security camera snapped a photo of Norton allegedly using the card.

Later during the football game a police officer found the victim's bag with most of its contents in a bathroom located near section H.

Norton is alleged to be the second man to steal someone's card or personal belongings and go on a shopping trip.

Norton previously has been charged in Knox County with stealing a mandolin in 2013 and a guitar in 2014. The charges were dismissed, records show.

UTPD also has charged another man for an incident that occurred Sept. 2 during the home game against Bowling Green.

The man has not been publicly identified yet.

PREVIOUS STORY: For the second time this month, a thief took someone's credit card at a University of Tennessee home football game and went on a spending spree, according to University of Tennessee police.

The most recent incident happened Sept. 18, when the Vols played Tennessee Tech at Neyland Stadium.

UTPD tweeted a photo of the suspected thief Thursday.

The department said the suspect took cash and a credit card from a family at the game and then bought $500 in items at Neyland and at businesses around Knoxville.

Asking for the public's help has worked so far for UT authorities.

The department tried a similar tactic after someone used an elderly man's credit card that was stolen at the Sept. 2 home football game against Bowling Green. The man also took "personal belongings" from the victim and bought items totaling about $350 in the stadium, according to UTPD.

On Sept. 21, UTPD said it had taken out warrants to arrest the unnamed man.
