While there were a dozen DUI arrests in Knox County over the New Year holiday season, there weren't any deaths.
The Knox County Sheriff's Office reports that there were no fatalities from Friday, Dec. 29 to Tuesday morning on Jan. 2.
Patrols concentrated on different areas of the county from Friday at 6 p.m. through Tuesday at 6 a.m.
During that time, there were 12 DUIs, 548 citations written for various traffic infractions, and 5 alcohol related wrecks. There were 58 arrests and officers assisted 88 motorists.
