MCMINNVILLE, Tenn. — A Warren County man is behind bars and is suspected of shooting and killing a man after forcing his way into a home.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said it worked with the McMinnville Police Department and 31st District Attorney General's Office to arrest and charge 43-year-old Terrence Lamont Malone with Felony Murder and Especially Aggravated Burglary.

According to the TBI, 33-year-old Darius Michael Bishop was at home on Lind Street with several people on Friday when two masked men forced their way through the door.

Bishop had confronted the men and was shot. He was later pronounced dead at an area hospital.

Malone was arrested and booked into the Warren County Jail on a $1.5 million bond Sunday. The TBI said the investigation is ongoing.
