UPDATE: Suspect identified in East Knoxville fatal shooting

Officers are investigating the fatal shooting of Walter Neal at an East Knoxville home on Thursday morning.

UPDATE: Knoxville police have identified the suspect in a Thursday morning fatal shooting as 35-year-old Christopher Leon Clark. 

KPD said Clark should be considered armed and dangerous. A warrant has been issued for Clark's arrest. 

Anyone with information about where Clark may be is asked to call the Knoxville Police Crime Hotline at 865-215-7212. Callers can be anonymous. 

PREVIOUS STORY: The Knoxville Police Department is investigating a Thursday morning fatal shooting at a home in East Knoxville.

Police officers found the shooting victim Walter Neal, 34, of Knoxville inside a home on the 1200 block of Trigg Avenue around 1:55 a.m. Thursday. First responders determined Neal died at the scene.

KPD said Neal did not live at the Trigg Avenue address.

Investigators are interviewing witnesses at the Safety Building on Thursday morning.
