KNOXVILLE, Tenn — Downtown Knoxville’s Crowne Plaza Hotel is responding to the coronavirus pandemic by offering a means for people to social distance, do their work, or both by using a hotel room.
The Crowne Plaza is offering a place people who need a place apart from their homes to stay or work during the pandemic.
“We realized there may be people who can’t, or shouldn’t, be at home because of potential family exposure,” said Ken Knight, the Crowne Plaza’s general manager.
In a press release, the hotel said guests would be provided the following:
- Room cleaned and disinfected daily
- Free fast, reliable wireless internet service
- Free self-parking
- Free in-room refrigerator and Keurig coffeemaker
- Full room service menu
- Complimentary business center access
Customers can rent rooms for $50 for 12 hours, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., or they can stay daily for $79 per day, highly discounted from the standard daily rate of nearly twice that.
