MARYVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — The president of Maryville College in Tennessee is leaving the post after the next school year.

News outlets report Tom Bogart said he will end his term in June.

The 55-year-old Bogart has been president for nine years. He says it's a good time for him and for the school, noting it has a strong leadership team and strategic plan. Bogart says the school's bicentennial celebration is also adding enthusiasm and bringing the community together.

Board Chairwoman Mary Kay Sullivan said last week that a search committee will be named soon and will represent the college's various constituencies.

Sullivan said during a meeting of the board's executive committee that Bogart has helped Maryville College "build important momentum that we will continue to build on in the years to come."
