From Christmas tunes to show tunes to a Dolly Parton favorite, Jordan Smith and Emily Ann Roberts covered broad ground Monday night as they competed in "The Voice" finale.
First to sing was Smith, 22, of Harlan, Ky. Accompanied by musical backup, he sang a soft and then soaring version of "Climb Every Mountain" from "The Sound of Music."
Roberts, 17, of Knoxville, followed with a Christmas tune made famous by Elvis Presley - "Blue Christmas."
The singers also shared duets with their coaches.
Smith sang "God Only Knows" by the Beach Boys with Adam Levine.
For their duet, Roberts and coach Blake Shelton performed "Islands in the Stream," which Parton made famous with friend Kenny Rogers.
In conclusion, Smith sang the hymn "Mary, Did You Know?" and Roberts sang "This Burning House."
